Republican Candidate
Montana House District 82
Born, raised, and educated in Montana. My father was in the special forces and my mother an immigrant from Lebanon. I went to the University of Montana and pursued a career in Software Engineering. After working outside of Montana for several years I realized the importance of fighting for the community and the privilege we have in Montana when it comes to our local government. In return I’ve decided to run for House District 82 to see how I can apply my skills and experiences to benefit the community.
Force the federal government to adhere to Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution. Montana’s National Guard should not be deployed in unconstitutional foreign wars without a formal declaration from Congress. Work with Defend the Guard to get the proper controls in place.
Our rights are absolute; they are not relative. That includes the Second Amendment. I will work to restore and expand the rights of law-abiding Montanans to keep and bear arms, including reforming restrictions on firearm ownership.
Eliminate property taxes and income taxes in favor of a sales tax. Owning property is a right, not a privilege. No Montanan should risk losing their home because they can’t afford a government bill. Income taxes should also be eliminated in favor of a sales tax. Income taxes place the burden of complexity on the individual.
Push for incentives that enable energy independence for the individual. Allow communities to harvest their own solar energy and sell it among themselves — reducing dependence on utilities and keeping energy dollars local. This would reduce the load on the grid and keep energy more localized. With data centers being forced upon us, citizens should have the ability to protect themselves against rising prices.
Add protections for consumers who are using smart meters. Push for laws that empower you to request your data. When you “buy” digital content, you don’t really own it. Prevent deceptive practices from online services. Push for the right to repair: you bought a product, you own it.
